Hope you all had fun during PT. :)
The hall was not open and the field was booked.. so we had to compromise.
Anyway here is prac review for today.
From bar 1-14 it was quite OK, all of you knew your notes. But at bar 15, when the jap comes in, it screwed up. I understand it may be fairly low for the T2s (hard for me also), but just try your best. Other than that all your dah dah dah are fine. At bar 29, make sure the timing when you come in for your "ha" is correct.
At the bar 48 split, make sure your pitching is correct. The interval is a perfect 5th. So the blend should sound quite nice. Some of you went zao xia for this part. Take note of that. At bar 50, your note should come in on the first "dah" of the tenor (T1) part. At bar 52, 53 and 54, remember there's a one-beat-rest in each bar before you all come in.
From Bar 66 onwards, revise your lyrics. "sa re ba ko re ka ra ke n ka no yo i"
And from bar 76 onwards, it is important to revise your lyrics first so that next prac will flow smoothly:
ko ro wa u ma do shi shi chi ge tsu fu tsu ka
ku sa ri ka ta bi ra ki go mi wo cha ku shi
wa ra ji kya ha n de mi ga ru no shi ta ku
da te no ha chi ma ki mi na so re zo re ni
te ze i su gu tte sa ka i no ma chi de
yo su u ka ga u shi no bi no ni n zu
After that everything else is "dah dah dah". If possible i think we can finish learning this song by next prac.
For your information, we are the fastest section at learning, having done until bar 87. Tenors have done until 69 and basses have done until 52. So hopefully you will use that as a morale booster. :)
