PRACTICE REVIEW 4/11

Firstly, lets warmly welcome all the new T1s and T2s. Hope you have fun as a tenor. :D

Today's practice was fairly inefficient. We were supposed to finish until Bar 45, but we only managed to combine until Bar 29.

For T1s (tenors), we managed to finish until Bar 45. We went through the lyrics and the melody lines, so they SHOULD be fairly easy. Remember that after your melody lines, you have to continue to "dah dah dah" because the song is continuous. You cannot just stop halfway. Be more confident of your entries. You shouldn't always depend on your seniors to help you. Also, the discipline was not very good. During sectionals and combines, there were people talking with each other. Please always focus and show respect to whoever is taking sectionals or combines.

Tenors have always set a high standard of discipline. Do not bring down that benchmark.

For T2s (baritones), i understand that it was fairly chaotic during sectionals and thus you all could not manage to finish learning the song. However, the discipline was horrible. When i'm conducting sectionals, the discipline has always been at a high standard. Why the sudden drop in discipline level? Whichever SL it is, i hope that you will give him the fullest attention and DO NOT COMPLAIN when he tells you to do something. Until Bar 29, you all should be fine.

Next practice will be on saturday, 7.30 at the PE Dept. There will be PT. Please bring extra clothes to change. If you have ordered the choir photos, please bring the money on saturday. They cost $4 each. If any of you have problems with your attendance, you can clarify with Ms Lau this coming saturday.
