Firstly, there were five people who missed practice today. Please take note, we are only 2weeks and 5 practices away from open house. If you are to miss prac, please inform one of us (ck or justin) beforehand, and provide a legit parent's letter or MC. Parent's letter template can be downloaded from the choir blog. Please take note that every practice is compulsory, and you cannot be absent without a valid reason. (tuition + school projects is not a valid reason)
Today, we managed to finish two songs. However, some of you are still unsure of your parts. If you need help, please find either me or justin. Don't be shy.
For When You Believe, please look through the part with the foreign language. For your information,
the pronounciations of: chi = ki, v'chas = ve'-kas, d'cha = de'-ka. Take note for "v'chas" and "d'cha", bring the "v" and the "d" to the next syllable such that they are only instantaneous. The note you sing should be held with the syllable after the "v" and "d". Try to revise the foreign language at a faster speed.
Any Dream Will Do was rather fine until the last part. Please use falsetto for the high notes (F4 and G4) if you cannot reach them. Also, if you are using falsetto, practice the transition from real voice to falsetto and vice versa.
Ok that's about it. Please take the initiative to go and practice your parts.
